| Project Name: NAZU 9 Exploration concessions: 53km2, 100% share Target minerals: Cu, Au Geology and Ore Deposit: The concessions are located in the late Eocene to Oligocene porphyry copper belt. The area including this concession is dominated by andesitic to dacitic lavas and tuff breccias. These rocks have generally undergone strong propylitization (epidote + chlorite ± quartz ± hematite) and are commonly accompanied with epidote ± quartz veins. Several quartz veins (width about 20cm) and strongly silicified zone (width 2〜3m) are recognized in the eastern part of the concession. Several silicification + argillization zones (quartz + white clay ± limonite ± hematite) with 100 to 500m diameter are recognized in the alteration zones extracted by the ASTER image analysis, a part of which are accompanied with rhyolitic stock in those centers. Many test pits exist in the propylitization zone of eastern part of the concession, which were exploited for copper oxides precipitated at cracks in dacitic tuff breccias. Silicification + argillization are also recognized. Preliminary survey executed by Nittetsu Mining detected geochemical anomalies of Cu and Mo. Exploration activities: [2000-2001] Satellite image analysis using JERS-1 and ASTER data. [2002] Preliminary geological and geochemical surveys (15 km2). Future plan(2002-2003): Detailed geological and geochemical surveys will be conducted, and geophysical survey (IP) and drilling survey are planned in this concession. <<< The result of the Geochemical Surveys. >>> .......
